I invited 9 people over to my tiny tiny apartment to have 2 versions of homemade tiramisu. Hannah and Jaka came over early to help me bake. It's the first time I'm baking with people. It's a wonderful bonding experience. :)
First we tried this recipe from AllRecipes.com with homemade lady fingers.

Somehow we didn't use half of the syrup to soak the lady fingers. Maybe that was why we found the tiramisu came out a little short in coffee flavor department. It's way too much cream too. We need to double the lady fingers the next time.
Next we made tiramisu cake with the recipe from Smitten Kitchen. The cake was surprisingly easy to make. We used made this as alcohol free version. So we added more coffee and chocolate than what the recipe called for. The cake was delicious but a few of us felt like there's not enough frosting. So it worked out ok when we ate the first extra creamy one on top of the cake version...
